This page is maintained by the owner of Prompt Engineering Study Buddy to answer common privacy questions about how the app handles your information.
We do not collect personal data on a server. All your progress — including completed topics, mastered flashcards, streaks, and weekly goals — is stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This means your data never leaves your device unless you choose to export it.
Your data is used only inside your browser. We do not use it for advertising, analytics, or profiling.
We do not share, sell, or transfer your data to third parties. Because everything is stored locally, there is no backend database or external service receiving your progress.
This app does not use cookies for tracking. The only local storage used is localStorage to save your study progress between visits.
You can delete your data at any time by clicking Reset in the app sidebar, or by clearing your browser’s site data / localStorage.
Your progress persists for as long as you keep it in your browser’s localStorage. Clearing your browser cache or site data will remove it. We do not retain copies on any server.
Because data is stored entirely on your device, its security is governed by your browser and operating system protections. We recommend keeping regular backups using the Export feature.
